PARENT RIGHTS

The right
to be appointed an attorney

The right to a trial

The right
to present and cross-examine witnesses

The right
to present evidence

The right to continue to detention hearing to request further evidence. The hearing can be used to invoke the right to confront the preparers of reports or documents. If a hearing request is made, the detention rehearing will be set within three judicial days in the same court. The event a witness is unavailable within the three day period, the hearing will be reset for a later date not exceeding five judicial days. Pursuant to Local Rule 17.19.

The right to file an appeal within 30 days regarding all or specified parts of an order or findings by the court.
